Grammy: A Visual Essay

I wrote a poem for my Great Grandmother on her 90th birthday and brought it to life with a variety of mixed media materials.

"You've accomplished so much in your lifetime,

And to me you're seen as a ray of sunshine."

Yet you didn't let any of them disrupt."

"You graduated from Tuskegee and became a dietician,

Now you live in North Carolina with lots of knowlege on nutrition."

Alpha Kappa Alpha was the sorority you joined,

And 'Don't get no whoopins' was something that you coined"
