Achievements and Experience

Resident Artist -> Site Coordinator
June 2023 - Present
I was the Resident Artist at the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School. My job was to incorporate art into the student's literacy lessons. Also, creating unique/big projects throughout the 6 week program that express what they've learned to showcase during the finale.
Now, I current work as the site coordinator of the program. I was promoted in 2024 (my second year). My new responsibilities include, hiring SLI's planning big projects, plan fieldtrips and guest speakers/activities, and making sure the program runs smoothly.

Art Exhibition Winner
December, 2018
I submitted a painting to an art exhibition while I was in high school and I was awarded a scholarship at Olivet College.
Outstanding Senior Award
2018 - 2019
During my senior year of high school I was accepted into an EFE (Education for Employment) class - Art & Design Career Skills. Due to my dedication and artistic skills, my instructor chose me to be one of the two students for this award. I reviewed a $1,000 scholarship for Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Art Educator

For the past few years I have been teaching art lessons to the kids in my neighborhood. My goal is to further the children's growth and love for art.
